You can run, bike, and swim in the beautiful Inland Northwest during the 2021 Coeur d’Alene Ironman! Unlike last year with the Ironman 70.3, this year will host a full Ironman.
When: June 27, 2021
Past courses have included a swim in the gorgeous Lake Coeur d’Alene, a 56-mile bike portion that takes advantage of the hills around the Idaho area, and an over 13-mile run along the lake’s shore. Needless to say (but we’re going to highlight it anyway) this is one beautiful race.
The actual course this year has not yet been posted, but as the website states, “This is your year, your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the thousands who have crossed the historic IRONMAN Coeur d’Alene finish line.”
You can get away to the Pacific Northwest and explore Lake City’s appeal. Of course, we love to talk about the beautiful waters of Lake Coeur d’Alene. If you have enough time, rent a boat and experience the lake in luxury. But we also love the downtown feel of Coeur d’Alene itself and the numerous areas to hike around the North Idaho mountains.
If you come for the race, we encourage you to plan enough time to explore the area as well. You won’t regret it.
Also, if you’re into Ironman races and want to go farther, the 2021 Coeur d’Alene IRONMAN will offer 40 qualifying slots to the 2021 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i.
Good luck and welcome to the Inland Northwest!
