Especially around this time of year, there’s something about the joy of giving that just makes this season special. And if you can combine the joy of giving with the fun of an arts and gift fair, all the better!
So here’s a great way to combine the two for a great way to spend a Saturday.
The Avondale Arts and Gift Fair
The fair benefits Lemons of Love Northwest, which is a group that puts together ways to bring comfort and joy to those in the area undergoing chemotherapy.
This group makes about 60 bags a month, fills them with such comforts as body lotion, tea, lemon drops, and comfort socks and then gives them to Cancer Care NW in Spokane Valley and to other chemo centers in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Sand Point, and St Maries, ID.
So while you get to enjoy the craft fair and maybe find that perfect handmade gift for your mom, you can also get an extra smile knowing you’re bringing a little bit of joy to someone else’s day too!
Admission to the fair is FREE. There will be local artisans, handcrafted wares, baked goods and even a raffle for some gift baskets.
