We’re on the doorstep of fall again and with it comes one of Coeur d’Alene’s best known bike rides. We highlighted the CDA Fondo back in 2019 and now it’s time to bring up a different Fondo that includes food trucks! If you’re not up for a CDA boat rental but feel like enjoying the gorgeous area in an active way, this bike ride might just be the event for you.
CDA Fondo Bike Ride
When: September 17, 2022
Course: This depends on which ride you choose.
There are five different rides varying from 14 miles long all the way up to 119. You read that right. If you want a loooong scenic ride, there’s a 119 mile course for you to explore. All of the courses start and finish in Coeur d’Alene at McEuen Park, or more specifically at the corner of 6th Ave north of McEuen Park (420 E Front Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814). And every single one of them offer a gorgeous trail along Lake Coeur d’Alene.
(Note for those who have ridden in the past, the ride organizers have taken out the section of trail along the old Highway 95 after getting feedback.)
Aid Station Food Trucks
Now this is a cool idea. The ride organizers have set up food trucks at each aid stations. These will offer breakfast and lunch along with premium snacks. As their website says, this is a ride, not a race, and it’s supposed to be enjoyed.
