This time of year is perfect for finding great activities for the family. Check out this opportunity to mix boating with seeing a lot of magnificent eagles during a lake cruise on Coeur d’Alene lake!

Every year in December and January, hundreds of American Bald Eagles show up at Lake Coeur d’Alene from Canada and Alaska for their yearly migration. They congregate at the northern end of the lake to feed on delicious Kokanee lake-bound salmon. These local salmon are the perfect food for the eagles in the winter.

Because of this, you have a wonderful opportunity to head out on Lake Coeur d’Alene for a 2-hour cruise that takes you toward Wolf Lodge Bay. During the cruise, get an up-close view of the magnificent eagles!
