We love the spring in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! There are so many activities to choose from and one of those is fishing. It’s the fishing time of year.
Let’s talk about the Fishing Time of Year in Coeur d’Alene!
The Coeur d’Alene river spans through both the Kootenai and Shoshone counties, covering over 38 miles, so there are plenty of places to choose from for a fishing excursion!
The north fork of the Coeur d’Alene river is a renowned fly fishing location. You can find brook, rainbow, and cutthroat trout along with chinook salmon in the lower reaches. There are also kokanee salmon and bull trout. Just keep in mind that you’re not allowed to harvest cutthroat trout in this area, but you are allowed to bag up to 6 other kinds of trout!
Obviously, if you’ve read this far, then you’re interested in Idaho fishing.
