A Root Beer float style coffee drink. Say what? You heard it. A Root Beer style coffee drink. It’s called German Coffee.
How awesome is that! I mean, it’s coffee and ice cream in a cup. Simple and delicious all in one fell scoop…err swoop. If you’re a coffee addict like me, that equals spectacular.
Here’s how it works:
Make coffee.
Chill coffee in freezer or frig, depending on how much time you have before you want to drink.
Put several scoops of ice cream in bottom of cup.
Pour chilled coffee over the top.
Finish off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.
Yum! Just think, you could make coffee the night before heading out on the lake. Then, just throw it into a thermos or water bottle and put everything into a cooler (ice cream, Solo cups and such too). Then, while out enjoying the sunshine and beautiful view from the boat, you can sit back and have yourself a tasty dessert.
Now that’s how to enjoy vacation, if you ask me.
