Since you’re a boating person, we’re betting you enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and, since we covered camping earlier this month, we’d like to highlight a couple lovely hiking trails to explore just outside of Coeur d’Alene. With the weather still nice, it’s definitely time to get outside!
Coeur d’Alene boasts some perfect trails for such an afternoon wander. They’re not far away and they’re perfect for the whole family. Plus, as an added bonus, they offer amazing views of Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Check them out:
Tubbs Hill Hiking Trail
This hike is rated as easy. (Perfect if you have a few littles following your footsteps!) It’s a 2-mile loop that’s great for fishing, trail running, or walking your dog. Like previously stated, part of the hike runs beside Lake Coeur d’Alene and offers all kinds of picture opportunities. This trail is accessible year round and is a gorgeous hike.
Mineral Ridge Hiking Trail
This slightly longer trail is a 3.3 mile loop. It’s rated as moderate and gives a beautiful view over Lake Coeur d’Alene as well. At the trailhead you can find a brochure which features nature information at checkpoints along the way. It’s not only a beautiful hike, but it can be educational too!

Enjoy your time outside and let us know if you have any trails you’d like to add.
