Just because it’s cold and snowy outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the beautiful views around Priest Lake. In fact, the snow adds its own touch of splendor to what’s already a gorgeous lake. Makes it more pristine and winter wonderland-esque.
Now waterskiing this time of year might be a recipe for hypothermia, but that doesn’t mean you can’t going skiing.
Combine these two things and you get cross-country or nordic skiing around Priest Lake. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. The perfect way to keep your legs in water skiing condition…well kind of, but at least it’s still skiing!
More details about this can be found at Priestlake.org. Some trails are groomed and some aren’t, so be sure to pay attention if you’re looking at a specific area. Also, there are parking permit prices but it looks like they work for Washington, Oregon and Idaho Nordic programs. And it’s a small price for such an amazing view.
If you have pictures of Priest Lake and the snow, we’d love to see them. Please share!
