So there’s this little place just west of Coeur d’Alene that tends to get over looked when everyone’s talking about what they want to do on the weekend. It’s called Post Falls. It’s a blip on the drive between Coeur d’Alene and Spokane.
However, just because it’s easy to blink and miss on the drive doesn’t mean there aren’t fun things to do in the area. Plus, it’s got a couple of water related activities that might be right up a boat lovers alley, if you know what I mean.
First off, there’re the Falls themselves. Want a little water beauty to satisfy the boating itch while it’s still cold out? Check out the falls. You can take your family and the dog with you.
Second off, Post Falls Park also offers a fishing pond for youth and handicapped individuals. Want to teach the youngin’ how to fish? Here’s a perfect place to show them the ropes.
So you can check out this 22-acre city park with its picnic shelters, walking paths, playground, and views of the nearby gorge all while teaching your children the basics of catching fish.
Well, that’s one way to pass the time while you’re waiting for the warmer weather to return. Know of any others? We’d love to hear about them.
