You heard that right, the river cruises that the CDA Resort hosts have started for the 2023 season! That means you can pick from two wonderful cruises and see everything from the wildlife to the budding trees, all from the deck of a boat while enjoying your lunch buffet. Here are your choices.
Spokane River Cruises
This is your opportunity to explore the Spokane River. It’s a family-friendly three hour cruise that runs every Tuesday and Thursday from now until September 7th. It includes historical commentary while you sightsee the amazing local homes and gorgeous waterfront. Plus, if you want, there’s also a River Chicken Buffet available if you’d like to enjoy a meal with your family and friends along the way.
St. Joe River Cruises
The St. Joe River is at the southern end of Lake Coeur d’Alene. It happens to be the highest navigable river in the world. This is a unique six hour cruise where you not only get to enjoy the river, but you’ll also get some time on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Why, you ask, when this is a River Cruise? Well, the St. Joe has an interesting feature called the transit Lake Chatcolet, an unusual phenomenon where the river itself runs through Lake Coeur d’Alene. How cool is that?!
Anyway, on top of the transit awesomeness, this is also an opportunity to wildlife watch. Eagles, osprey, deer, and more are often seen on this cruise. Plus, you’ll have a chance to learn about Northern Idaho’s lumber industry along the way. And yes, this cruise also happens to have a food option if you want to enjoy a delicious meal of fried chicken, fresh watermelon, and more savoriness.
For more details including times, pricing, boarding locations, and more, we encourage you to hop on over to the CDA Resort page.
And if you happen to want to explore on your own instead of on a guided tour, we can help you with the boat rental part 😉
