If you’re in the area, this Thursday through Sunday brings the 4th Annual Wine Extravaganza to the Coeur d’Alene Resort. It’s a chance to celebrate fine wines, food and fun! Awesome, right!?

To whet your appetite, here’s a few of the events you can expect to find.

Thursday evening starts the festivities with two exceptional wine tasting options. Check out The Cellar for a chance to try the Walla Walla Vintners wine. If you’re not familiar with the Walla Walla Vinters, just know they’ve a reputation as one of Washington State’s most revered wineries. The second option is held at the Uva Trattoria for a J Lohr Tasting. Jerry Lohr was one of the first to realize the vast, untapped potential of the California Coast for wine making.

Friday also promises two spots to taste wines. One of which is the Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruises Tasting. This option is also a chance to try J Lohr wines with special samplings where you can meet the makers and try their personal selections. This includes hors d’oeuvres made up of assorted cheese and crackers, smoked salmon and sirloin roulades, Mediterranean cones with hummus and more.

And for Saturday there are not two but three tasting options. All held at the Coeur d’Alene Resort for you to enhance your wine education while imbibing in the aroma and flavor of different wines.

And finally, for Sunday there’s a brunch at the Greenbriar Inn (also a tasting).
